JAMMU & KASHMIR Three drug peddlers convicted in NDPS cases in Kathua | KNO Published 269 weeks ago on March 06, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Kathua, March 06 (KNO) : In a major achievement for Kathua police, due to sustained efforts of police and prosecutors, Session Court Kathua Wednesday convicted three accused in three different cases for offence under NDPS Act committed by them in the jurisdiction of PS Billawar and PS Kathua along with fine of Rs 2000 to each accused. Accused namely Sajjad Mughal was convicted in case FIR no 58/2018 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act of PS Billawar and convicted for 70 days imprisonment along with fine, Ashok Singh was convicted in case FIR no 261/16 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act of PS Kathua and received 7 days imprisonment alongwith fine whereas third accused namely Naresh Kumar was convicted alongwith fine of Rs 2000 for his involvement in case FIR No 182/2017 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act of PS Kathua. Kathua police is taking strenuous work till logical conclusion of cases and making all possible efforts for eradication of drug menace from society.
